Hey, I wanted to get SETI running on a Pi but I'm having issues. I've followed all the instructions on every website I could google as well as the Pi project books I have, but they all seem to be for the original Pi and none seem to work. I have installed the Boinc client and can probably figure the rest out via GUI, but my BOINC Manager can't connect to the interet. The Pi itself can (as I can surf and do other things), but BOINC doesn't seem to be able to connect. I've googled the issue and nothing comes up. The exact error message I get is: "Boinc can't access the interet, check network connection or proxy configuration." Anyone have any ideas? |

I had the same problem. I am not sure I really identified the issue, but I was able to avoid it by doing two things. (I did not try them independently.) First, expand the file system. Menu/Preferences/Raspberry Pi Configuration. The first button under System allows you to expand the file system. After a restart, you should be all set. I am not sure why the Raspberry Pi does not use the entire SD card at the start, but that is something to be mindful about. Second, I installed "boinc-app-seti" after installing "boinc-client" and "boinc" My RPi is up and churning away! Good luck! |
