Machine is dual CPU Xeon quad cores, Win 7 x64 pro, Boinc 7.6.22, Lunatics 0.44, with vanilla install. Intermittently receiving error message of: Task Suspended, Waiting for Memory Quick check of task properties reveals the following: Computer: HP-Z600 Project SETI@home Name blc3_2bit_guppi_57451_23161_HIP63121_OFF_0014.5518.416.17.26.120.vlar_1 Application setiathome_v8 8.00 Workunit name blc3_2bit_guppi_57451_23161_HIP63121_OFF_0014.5518.416.17.26.120.vlar State Waiting to run Received 4/18/2016 1:45:07 AM Report deadline 6/10/2016 6:44:51 AM Estimated app speed 2.58 GFLOPs/sec Estimated task size 25,536 GFLOPs CPU time at last checkpoint 00:01:03 CPU time 00:01:03 Elapsed time 00:01:07 Estimated time remaining 02:44:04 Fraction done 0.524% Virtual memory size 10,489.93 MB Working set size 10,280.66 MB Directory slots/6 Process ID 0 Clearly something sideways on this, as there's no way the task should be expecting or requesting >10gig RAM to run. Seems like the only way to reset this is a restart or reboot. New thing, have seen several of these for the first time this evening. Machine has been rebooted. |

At some point, it seems to figure it out. Here's the same task a bit later, running. Curious... Did i see that right ? that tasks wants 10 gigs of memory? Yeah, was pretty strange. As I noted, later it minded its manners ... |

i'd check for maleware etc just to be sure i have never seen such high memory usage for a workunit unless there is a memory leak somewhere o.0 I came down with a bad case of i don't give a crap |

I seem to have had a similar problem with Raspbian Linux/Raspberry Pi Zero (single core) .. I'll go with "weirdness", but It could have been that workunit, so I aborted it.
