The 605 update worked for me, made a massive difference. Had 760 meg of downloads to do, but it seems to be all patched up now. Only did security updates, no recommended or non-security ones. We'll see how stable it is, but so far so good. Thanks guys!

Yeah, that's the one :) Near as I can tell, it took three times for them to get the definitive fix ...
