Well kids and fellow Setizens....
All is going rather well in kittyland today.

Installed the new Lunatics apps this morning, went to the muffler shop and had the catalytic converter replaced on ol' Toothless, and then came home and applied the final tweaks to the new app.

And to make the day even better, ol' Tigger II is sitting beside me and supervised my administration of the new apps and rig updates, she is having a good day to, and that makes my heart glad.

The kitties crunching farm is locked and loaded.....now we'll see once again what the crunchers can do on Seti.
The kitties are Gonna run like a GTO.....

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

I'm glad to read Tigger II is doing well. :~)

As for your car, my old Saturn needs a trip to the muffler shop, too. It's really a great car, and the smoothest shifting manual transmission I've ever had. A silver SC-1 coupe, covered with snow at the moment.

Muffler work has long been an overpriced 'black art'....it's just some pipes and hangers fer chrissake. And when I know the cat is worth $80.00 and they wanna charge $150.00, you just kinda gotta bend over and take it...LOL. Up the pipe, as they say.

The only problem is having the right pieces, and a bonafide muffler shop has raw pipe and the machines to make the right size flanges and fittings.
You just have to pay them their due for their knowledge and expertise.

They're both purring like kittens right now, both Toothless and Tigger II.
Tiggy just jumped up on my lap and laid down on my chest and made smiley faces for over an hour...

Like I said before, until her recovery or lack of same is determined, every good day is a wonderful blessing at this point.

And this has been a good day all around.

Wow, sounds like me. I always got the lesson when presented. never had to do the homework to understand the lesson. I skated by getting "A's" on tests and not completing the homework. I was so bored in school.

Kids...fellow Setizens, if you don't like the colloquial term 'kids'.///

This is how it works. This is how life plays out.
This is why we have a black muslim in the white house and the rest of us suck wind. But the wind is getting stronger, thankfully.

I am the wind. It blows at times to my direction.

It blows because it can. And will continue to because there is nothing any of you can do to stop it.

A little lesson, and some truth you must know.

Tigger's having another good day....to say the least.
She had this burst of kitty energy this morning and went tearing down the hall from the bedroom to the kitchen and back..............
And then stood there staring at me looking at her from the bed with her tail straight up in the air....LOL.

I cannot say that the swelling in her lymph nodes has gone down much at all, but at the very least, she seems to have recovered some of her Tiggerosity.

Since at least her demeanor indicates the meds are helping her, I am more hopeful today than in weeks.
Might start the herbal meds tomorrow.

You go, Tigger!!!!

Well....
Tigger is still in the fight.
But, it's becoming a harder fight.
The swelling so far has gone down in only one place, and has gotten worse in others.
Her Tiggerosity is holding up fairly well, considering.
But, she has been having a few sneezing/coughing fits in the last couple of days that are leading me to believe that the swelling in her throat is causing her just a bit of distress regardless of how well she is carrying on. And her meow is a bit weak and raspy as well.

Sooooooooooooo...............
After doing some research and consulting with Tigger's vet, we are going to make a couple of changes in Tigger's treatment.

Since one of the originally swollen lymph nodes DID recede, we at least have a small glimmer of hope that it is not cancer, and are going to go forward hoping it is a stubborn fungus infection.
On my advice, we are changing to a different anti-fungal med, which may possibly be a bit more aggressive toward deep tissue fungal infections. Fluconazole instead of Itraconazole...same family of drugs, but not the same. The vet agreed with my suggestion. It has to be specially formulated by Roadrunner Pharmacy, and I will be calling to expedite and air freight the prescription tomorrow.
And on the vet's advice, she will be giving Tigger some steroid meds, in the hopes that it relieves some of the swelling thereby giving the anti-fungal meds more time to kick in.
I am also giving Tigger some herbal cancer support meds, mixed in with her mushy food treats.....which tonight she zoomed down the hall to the kitchen for, raising as much ruckus as possible with her somewhat diminished meow....LOL. At least her spirit has not yet been diminished!

So, I am all in and giving my dearest Tigger the best shot that I possibly can at a recovery. At her last vet visit, her blood tests came back with flying colors for a 14yo kitty, so if I can knock out this mystery ailment for her, there is a good chance she has some years left.

And if not, at least I know that I have done the best that I could for her, and I shall have to take my solace from that.

Meow for Tigger.

Well, maybe it shall indeed come to me one day...........

Until then...
You shall have one chance of your own.
Not mine to make or break.
Now is your choice.

I know, that being prot was a good choice for me at the time.
It gave me much expression of pain. I have now much more pain to fill the void...........sigh.

Just know that if I leave you, for whatever reason, my kitties shall continue to need your care.

When my life ends, and it shall, so inevitably, I shall wish for those who understood me in this life to care for my cats in the next.

I shall watch over them and you, to know if you did.

Patient 287.....July 27th. I know.

Not mine to share..........

Tigger awoke me from my dreams...perhaps to make me smile.
A clawfull paw, carefully placed...upon me for a while.................

When Tigger smiles, it makes me smile.
No matter what the day.
She is still a kitten child........
Time can't take that away.

A cat so young and boundiful.
When bouncing down the hall..........................
That's my Tigger cat,
remember that.

When she is gone, that's all.

Just a little poem for my Tigger....

Gotta luv Quentin..................
Did you know that The Hateful Eight was shot entirely on 70mm film?
Recall Ben Hur?
The rest of the industry didn't either. And therefore, not many theaters are equipped to show the new release. It's a forgotten format.....called Ultra Panavision.
He had to scavenge for camera lenses not used since the '60s.
Hateful Eight production...

My special take on life.........
I know it's not everybody's cuppa.

I see things that others do not.
I take despair in things in which others see hope.
Life bends...differently....for myself than for others.
For life is fluid and ever changing.
And one must catch those bits of it from life's stream that one can.
At times, I seem to catch only the spoiled bits, so my interpretation of the whole stream is that it is spoiled, and I walk away unsatisfied/.

And convinced the whole world is the same.

Meowsigh, says I...........and then the world pounces upon me and denounces me for being maudlin.

What some do not understand is that maudlin is where I live. Only the cats in my life try to lift me up, and one of them is attempting to leave my world.

I am doing my dead level best to restrain her efforts......

I go to bed now with Tigger.
Purrball and Bandit too.
They are trying to be supportive for their kitty sister in her struggle.

We all love each other soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.

Peace on earth, good will towards all men.
And good wishes and kitty kisses for each and every one of you.

Tigger needs your prayers now.......an additional medicine not to be denied.

At times, I am needing them too.

May God bless you all......................

Well....
Another $100.00 worth of kitty meds.
Tigger got her first hit of steroids today.
I am sure it will take a few days to determine if it is beneficial or not.

Fluconazole is due air freight tomorrow.

Kitty meds...$100.00
Another day with Tigger...priceless.

Meow.
