I used to run Seti@home classic on a Mac IIsi. And I think some other computers. But I do recall that if we processed some interesting data, the graphic version used to give us some kind of alert (reward, dog treat) if it was interesting enough.

I just came back to idly wasting idle cycles here, and don't see any such function on the current software. If we process something that's 4,5 or 6 sigmas interesting or unusual, will we ever know?
