Are you asking about a "Classic" or a "BOINC" account.

If you are asking about a "Classic" account then you only need to know the old email address and password and then you can link the two accounts. The old email address does not have to be active to do this.

If you are asking about a "BOINC" account then it is not possible to merge the two accounts.

Only "the e-mail address of the Classic account" (no need for password)

Dropped out in 2007, various reasons, fire, work, etc.

Trying to get on using Classic version guidelines on BIONIC (yes I had a BIONIC account in 2007, before that I was running SETI since the early 1990's, used SETI to benchmark computer builds then when overclocking and just pushing limits was common). However, since I got back on mid December, nothing from SETI. Same email address for the last 20+ years, just no response from SETI. Other BIONIC projects click right along.

WHAT'S UP?

Realoaded the basic BIONIC, no Classic SETI@Home. Now I'm talking and clicking along.

Seti Classic didn't start until 1999.
BOINC (note its spelling) started a fully available Beta soon after that in December 2002 using Astropulse applications.
It wasn't until 2004 that these Seti pages were around.
March 2005 Seti Classic users were urged to change over to Seti under BOINC.
5 Jan 2006 Seti Classic closed down and there was only Seti under BOINC.
