Ok the forum does say numbers crunching so I have decided to see if this makes sence to anyone else. The issue is about HT comps and non-HT comps and points claimed. :) Mind you this is just for fun and I dont have a HT comp or I would conduct some tests on my own. :D Ok here are 2 actual results turned in for credit. Result 1 time = 13,559 Credit claimed = 45.09 Result 2 time = 12 318 Credit claimed = 26.68 Now assuming that HT comps do a split at about 60% 40% and assuming that result 2 is the one getting 60% power and assuming that the CPU's are close to the same Mhz I come to the following thoughts. 1- the 2nd unit (not shown here on the HT ) if exactly the same would take 14,781 sec's 2- add them up and divide by 2 and time = 13549 3- credit claimed is 40% less for result 2 than result 1 which also is the assumed HT gain. Ok again this is just for fun and trying to compare the uncomparable. :) |

Benchmarking a HT machine is difficult, and it appears to depend on load. Are you certain that they were both turned in during the same benchmark period? the benchmarks are re-calculated every 5 days. BOINC WIKI |
