3 dead. 240 km fire front, homes and farm buildings destroyed. Fire fighters expect it will take 5 days to get control of the blaze. Fire crews and appliances are rushing from nieghbouring states to help. Temps in the 30c's and 90km per hour winds fanned a massive blaze causing fire fighters to flee for their lives.

15 people hospitalised,5 are critical. 80,000 hectares burnt. Its only just gone first light over there so details are schetchy.

Thanks julie, I'm hundreds of miles away from the fire in a different state and I live in the middle of a city. Still though seeing the suffering of others on such a large scale on TV is still distressing.

Not good mate and to think the Fire season hasn't officially started yet .

These heat waves where getting not normal mate there's hot and extreme heat .

make shore you got a fire plan to evacuate if you need to ....

I feel sorry for the dead and damage . They had a record season crop too ..
