I went to bed and my internet speed was 15Mbps/1Mbps.

I got up and it was 50Mbps/5Mps!:w00t:

And I didn't know it was coming....

So far I still get this, I'm on Turbo and not MAXX(the area is still having new cables being installed, this includes Newberry Springs, Daggett, Yermo, Lenwood and Barstow CA), which in this area is as fast as it gets here and yeah when upgraded, I would see 100/10 at the very least, though I'd need a new black Arris SB6183 modem, yeah they exist, one would cost Me $75.00-80.00, but I don't have that right now, so the old SB6121 modem will have to do, I'd get about 60/6 with the 6121. Have fun Blade, at least the upgrade won't cost more per month, nice XMAS gift really.

That's nice.
Almost the same thing that happened to me.
And the weird thing I had problem with my modem only a few days when I got the offer from my ISP to upgrade from 12 Mbps to 50 Mps.
They even sent me a new modem to go with it without cost.
And the monthly fee is still the same, $35 per month:)

Lucky, my ISP is quitting business. Received notice that they are closing shop some time this month. No charge for November, but in the dark as to the last day. After that I will have to use my cell phone as a hot spot. I don't expect to be here much longer and the only other ISP is cable. They want a year commitment.

If your area had 'Time Warner Cable', Carlos(and I don't know who is your local cable company), they would require no contract at all, good luck Carlos.

Cable ISP's will let you rent a modem, or you can own your own cable modem, I have an Arris/Motorola SB5101 Docsis 2.0 cable modem and power brick, the modem is unattached to any cable company and is owned by Me, I'd bought it years ago off of Amazon.com, if you want it, I might be able to send it when I get My next check, since I don't know if $4.08 would be enough for postage to you or not.

Just did a Speed test on my AT&T account here, and my Ping was 28, Download was 2.9 Mbps, and Upload was .32 Mbps. Over the years, this has worked fine, but I have noticed sites with a lot of video embedded do take longer than they used to.

This is the best I can get until sometime in 2016 I'm told, hopefully I'll have an SB6183 modem in Black by then.

I get this with my $24 modem/router.

Netgear DOCSIS 3.0 N300 Cable Modem Router (Non-Retail Packaging)

Netgear anything here in California on TWC is off limits, TWC is saying Netgear's routers are dropping connections in California and are saying it's a Netgear problem, I'm looking at getting a Linksys EA2700 router, since it has a gigabit ethernet connection, My current Netgear 3500 is now unreliable and it has the latest firmware, phone support stopped in 2009 Netgear said, there is the forums, but that is not a fix for the problem, I'm hoping to get one in January 2016, since I have to pay $102.65 in property taxes on My mobile home in December 2015, there is no extra money, not even for new locks for My front door or for 5 new door knobs(off the shelf doesn't work in My 1987 mobile home, doors have to be altered, since I have 1 room that is unreachable almost, knob broke there, the front door locks are also broke and that could be $118.80 to replace, plus I want to get 3 washable pads for My swiffer wetjet so that I can mop the floor there's another $20.05).

Merry XMAS, bah humbug!!!

On clearance at Best Buy...

Zoom - DOCSIS 3.0 High-Speed Cable Modem - Black $49

Here I'm getting as fast as anyone can in this area, there is no higher speed than 20/2 here, the area is really OLD, I think it was acquired from Adelphia Cable way back when, TWC is now upgrading the area with New cables and equipment, MAXX is what TWC is aiming at, no telling if that will be completed and activated or not yet, Charter wants TWC and Charter is great at upgrade promises, yet the last to do any upgrades.
