*remember what happened last time somebody said something like that*

I hope you don't mind if I pop this here, Admiral? I will be back shortly...

Yes. It is a diversionary tactic.

It has no letters in the correct position and when reassembled into one word, that word should be familiar to everyone

I chose it because of what I plan to do when it's solved *frank blink*

What you have done here, Gavid - ohhhhh... *scowl* let me try that again. What you have done here David, is make one letter the Admiral got right twice, right three times, which is now the same number of times the pair is right too when before it was two. Putting all that together in a more cohesive format means you got three letters correct whilst adding nothing except a very good cooking plan...

So, thank you! :)

edit: ,

it needs to go up there because I forgot it

edit: actually, you might need another one...

,

edit: just in case , , , ,

yes... I am trying to avoid my life... and it's working out very very well indeed :)

erm... you know when I said this:

Putting all that together in a more cohesive format means you got three letters correct whilst adding nothing except a very good cooking plan...

about this:

PALIESEDCOOK

I was right apart from one teeny-tiny insignificant* detail, David.

The one that wasn't part of the pair, is actually the first of another pair, the second of which is the first time this letter has been correct and if the two letters after it had been transposed, well... it would have brought your total for this word to six instead of the four it actually is.

Yes, I do realise that may have stuffed your exclusion matrix a tad...

*contentious term

it's why I put ^that^

Your fish

PAELEOKOCODS

on the other hand, actually fits my original comments about your cook. So! *brush everything under the carpet smile* A spookily pre-cognitive three :)

oh...and did we say we like humans too? Well we do :)

I posted a couple of new guesses over at Einstein, but said I wasn't awake enough to think about them adequately. I was hoping to come here and see what you'd said and what I could make of it, but I totally zonked out. So now it's morning and I'm still not awake enough to decipher what you said here or even remember why I made my last guess. Therefore, I have no new guess at this time.

I have just finally looked at this whilst somewhat awake, and realized that my fish does not actually make proper use of the given letters. Therefore, before I do anything else, I'm going to post a corrected version of it for re-review:

PAELEOKICODS

[pre-post edit]

No, wait. I just looked at the previous tries and saw that the corrected letter has already been eliminated from that position. So, let me fill in the rest of the exclusions and try again.

Okay, I have a problem here. I need to post this and review a previous post and then come back and edit this post.

[post-post edit]

Before I continue, why do I smell coffee? There hasn't been any coffee in my house in years.

Anyway, it turns out my question was answered farther up in this post and I just didn't look far enough. And now my problem:

I've eliminated E from every position. EPOSOCKIDEAL makes it not 1 or 10, PADLECOOKIES makes it not 5 or 11 and also not 2 because 2 is A, SOAPLIKECOED makes it not 8 and also not 9 because 9 is C, <oh, I know, it's not coffee, it's skunk> CLOAKEPISODE makes it not 6 or 12, oh hold on LAKESIDECOOP doesn't make it not 4, PALIESEDCOOK makes it not 7, and PAELEOK<O/I>CODS makes it not 3. Since I just proved myself wrong about E not being 4, I'll assume it is, but I still have another E and no place to put it.

Well poop. I was just about to reedit myself when I noticed you said this. But now I realize that what I was going to change my mind about is still misinformational even after it was corrected.

[edit]
Oh never mind. I've lost myself again and it's now irrelevant.
