I come to the politics board and I find a long thread about the Oregon shooting. That was expected and that's ok because that's something that should be discussed. But I wonder, where's the thread about the bombing of a MSF clinic in Kundunz, where 22 ppl (10 MSF workers and 12 patients, three of 'em children) have been killed by US military? Maybe I couldn't find it because it has some strange title (like my thread here). If that's the case, pls give me a link. But if not, then I'm curious: Why is something like that not discussed here? |

No, I'm not trying to be snarky, but someone has to start the discussion. I can't read others people's minds and tell you why none of them have started a thread. All I can speculate is none of the talk radio hosts is making hay with it so it doesn't enter the ditto head mind as a subject. Terrible situation. Someone didn't do all the cross checks. |

[Because you didn't start the thread? Pretty much. If you don't see the topic, then start one. Not all of us can keep up with everything happening in the world. Bring it up if you think it is important. If the thread is a duplicate, the Mods will merge the two. As for the topic, this is the first I heard of it and will check it out as soon as I get a chance. |

A thread on this subject hasn't been started because the main news outlets and those who support the current POTUS (same thing) are not continuously talking about it. They know he's ultimately responsible and everybody in this group is just hoping it gets forgotten as soon as possible because they don't want him in any negative light. Wow, you mean you believe that the stain on the blue dress effect doesn't apply to our current POTUS?! Those are some mighty fine pharmaceuticals you have. |

Its made the Canadian news, so I was surprised that no one had mentioned it. Reality Internet Personality |

That's a bunch of horse manure and you ought to know it. My cable TV has been out a MONTH (no, not because I didn't pay the bill!) and I know about this. So, should the U.N. investigate this as a war crime? |

So, should the U.N. investigate this as a war crime? The U.N.? Since when have they done something useful? |

So, should the U.N. investigate this as a war crime? Just giving further evidence that I knew about this despite Guy's/Brutus' claim: "Dcotors without Borders", I believe, has called for it to be considered a war crime to be investigated by the U.N. |

This was in the news here every single day since it happened. So I hope you understand that I'm a bit surprised to see ppl living in the US of A saying that they haven't heard anything of this. Should it be investigated? Hell yeah! It's murder, isn't it? |

I don't read the papers or watch TV news but I do read the headlines online. I didn't see anything about this incident until this thread was started. I can confirm that the BBC have been covering this ever since it happened on Saturday - including all the various twists and turns in the American explanations. In fact, it's now dropped down the news running order, since Obama's formal apology last night - we've had other things to fill its place, like Syria, domestic politics, and a police killing. BBC summary, for those who are catching up. |

This airstrike will be hard to attribute to "whoops we made a mistake". Back in the days of LBJ during the Viet Nam war a decision such as this came from the white house. But I get the feeling that the current POTUS isn't so interested in the day to day management of the troops. I'm guessing some poor Major or Col. will get hung out to dry.
