Hello Crunchers,

I just set up a boinc install on Mint. I want to use the sky map program for windows in wine. Where is the default data directory for bionic in linux?

Depends on which BOINC you installed.

Berkeley BOINC moves everything to the home folder, ~/BOINC
BOINC from repositories, depends on which distro. For Mint that's in /var/lib/boinc-client/

Like I said, it depends on which BOINC you installed.

But why not check in your BOINC which directory it's using?
If you use BOINC Manager, check in the start up messages in the Event Log (CTRL+SHIFT+E or Advanced->Event Log) what your data directory is set to.
If you do not use BOINC Manager, you can check this information in stdoutdae.txt
Or you can use the BOINCCMD tool with --get_messages from a terminal window: boinccmd --get_messages .. You best exit & restart BOINC prior to doing that though or else you only get the last 100 lines which may not hold the info you need.
