I know there are problems with certain drivers on the ATI. What might help is posting the first 30 lines from the event log after you start up BOINC. That way they can get a look at what the boinc is seeing about your system. One of the others will have to give recommendations on driver versions |

looks like you need video card drivers from the amd website |
Zalster Send message Joined: 27 May 99 Posts: 5517 Credit: 528,817,460 RAC: 242 |
You also need the newer lunatics installer http://lunatics.kwsn.info/index.php?module=Downloads;catd=9 |

you're running windows xp 32-bit so the newest video card drivers that are available are version 14.4. i wouldn't call that new unless you consider april of last year to be new |

Actually the Newest ATI driver you can use with XP is 12.1. Anything newer and OpenCL Will Not Work. That's why I suggested a while back that nVidia cards should be used in XP. ATI cards should be used in Vista and above and even then the last ATI driver you can use in Vista is 13.12. That's why I'm looking to replace my Vista with at least Win 7 Pro. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/previous/detail?os=Windows%20XP&rev=12.1 This is the last ATI driver you can use in XP, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=6979629 This is the last ATI driver you can use in Vista; http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=6797524 Or, you can use the ATI card in Ubuntu; http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7258715 |

It should work, providing you use Display Driver Uninstaller to remove the newer driver before you install 12.1. Whenever you go backwards with the ATI driver in Windows it's best to try to remove all traces of the newer driver. http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html |

The only other ATI card you have in your Computer list is a legacy card in Win 8.1. Cat 12.1 will not work in Win 8.1, the legacy card doesn't have OpenCL, and it appears you already have the legacy driver installed in Win 8.1. 4 folders where? trying what? |
