It just report 1 MB but that one was under the old parameters. I'll keep checking to see if I see a change. |

In the event log should I see it read the mbconfig file? I'm not seeing any evidence that it is reading that file. Would there be some reason it wouldn't be seeing it? |

My concern is that I'm not seeing any indication that the Lunatics took. You computer should appear as anonymous, but it is not. Try exiting boinc and restarting the computer and see if that corrects. What you should be seeing is in the bonic manager on the far right side of it under application is should say something like local: setiathomev7.700 (cuda 50) What we are looking for is the local, that helps to point to lunatics being installed |

hmm, that is interesting. I had problems with installing it myself 2 days ago. But I thought it was just my system. We might need help from some of the developers of it to figure out what is wrong. Hey, could one of you guys help him out here?? (One of them will be along at some point, I know they were online earlier today so it may take some time) I'll keep checking thou. |

Looks like the change took to this workunit.... 1874688372 yes, it took with that but you can do that without having to install Lunatics. I'm still concern that it hasn't show on your computer or on here. |

Crazy... I reinstalled again, restarted, and still really no change. The is no sign of Optimised applications being installed there, looking at the list of WUs for that machine. Application column in your WU list, SETI@home v7 v7.00 (cuda50) SETI@home v7 v7.00 On my system, SETI@home v7 Anonymous platform (NVIDIA GPU) SETI@home v7 Anonymous platform (CPU) It's been years since I started using the Anonymous platform (optimised applications), and a while since I last update the current installation. But when I did all I had to do to install it was Exit BOINC, run the Lunatics installer, select the correct applications for the CPU & GPU (keep in mind there are applications for AstroPulse & MultiBeam), and once the inatller was finished then restart BOINC. The is no sign of Optimised applications being installed there, looking at the list of WUs for that machine. To add to that, some AV programmes can be really anal about small executables & the changes they make- they think anything other than a well know programme making changes must be hostile, so they just block them or quarantine them after they're done. Mark run down your cache , buffer Blah , Blah then shutdown Bionic uninstall Bionic , check Bionic folder is deleted . reinstall Bionic , add projects but set to not recieve units yet . shutdown Bionic after project is added . Run Lunatics and read the choices for adding the Astropulse and Mulitibeam APPs You need Cuda 50 for your GPU don't make any changes yet run bionic and let it get a few units and start them with default settings (don't change anything), shutdown Bionic and then edit app_info.xml for number of units to do on the GPU and any other changes to mbcuda.cfg like Zeltar said then run Bionic and see if all is well no errors the units should now be anonymous platform at seti . . hope that helps good luck |

Thanks... wonder if it is a Windows 10 issue? Installed no problem on my Windows 7 system just now. Noticed it also does default to AVX on my Windows 10 system, but SSE3 on my Windows system. I guess I'll set to receive no new tasks, blow through all my remaining tasks and reinstall Bionic and try that. |

There is only 1 other thing I can think of if it doesn't install, thou why it would affect Lunatics is a mystery. Both your machine and mine are running NV driver 355.60..... If it doesn't install, try moving down to a lower NV driver and see if it install then. Remember do clean install. I can't test this theory right now as my machine isn't here but if it resolves your problem then we have to consider the driver as an issue. |

The installation of Lunatics and the modified mbcuda.cfg are working as expected. The installer is very specifically designed to pick up and process tasks which have previously been sent to be done by the stock apps. The task list continues to show those tasks as they were sent, only tasks sent after the Lunatics install are shown as anonymous platform. You can look into the task details to see what has actually been used to process it. For instance, Task 4328908428 was originally sent to be done with CUDA42, but has actually been processed with setiathome enhanced x41zc, Cuda 5.00 and the stderr also includes: mbcuda.cfg, processpriority key detected Joe |

Josef, I understand that but some of the newest work units he has received were at least half an hour after he stated he installed Lunatics. So shouldn't those appear as anonymous? He never answered if he is seeing Local: on his boinc manger |

Sorry, I am now seeing the "local" before the task. I am not seeing "anonymous" before completed tasks yet. Maybe after we cycle through some new downloads?? |

I would say yes, to let more download. We will need input again from either Josef or one of the others as to why it's not showing the anonymous. But they are crunching correctly as pointed out by Josef. Looking at the stderr, you can see them crunching correctly. |
