Go look at that model on Newegg.

You can do a 360 spin of the card.

On the top of the card where the SLI should be, you will see it is solid with no place to set the SLI.

But like woohoo said it's your choice.

if you look at one of the reviews on the tigerdirect link that you gave, one of the reviewers did something amazing to get sli to work(or so that person would think)

but i'm no magician

Zalster,

How are you running two GTX 750 Ti together? They are not SLI capable are they?

I have several 750s, but currently only running 3 of them. None of the 750 or 750Tis are SLI capable.

Why I suspected the 650 wasn't either, but after looking at it on Newegg I know for sure.

Someone even asked about SLI and the response from an owner was it isn't capable of it

my amd system just trashed about 600 wu's

what a pile of amd junk

Nope, it looks like you lost your link to libOpenCL.so. In this particular case the GPU vendor is irrelevant.

Maybe I am not asking the question correctly, forgive my lack of understanding... do the cards have to be SLI capable to run them on the same system? It looks like your machine 7168555 is running two 750 TIs?

for the purposes of seti@home you can run two non sli capable cards together and you should net close to double the gpu wu output

but if you use that same system for gaming it will only use one card so the other will be wasted

750's and ti models are non sli

for seti the 750TI cards are the best bang for the buck and they run fairly cool and do not use extra power

the evga 750TI is pretty good that's what i run in one of my systems
I came down with a bad case of i don't give a crap

The cards don't have to be SLI to both run on a computer for seti.

Seti will run multiple cards without SLI.

If you want a system with SLI for gaming when not crunching then I would look for another card.

780 or 900 series cards will do nicely

If you want shear seti power the 780 TI cards are phenomenal

Ok, Radeon R7 240 is going to go this weekend, everything is erroring or producing inconclusives. Card is a total piece of junk.

I exchanged this evening for a GTX 750Ti... the 750Ti is rocking, much faster and so far as of yet no errors at all. I'm doing .08CPU on six CPU core with one freed core and 2WU at a time. Good configuration or is there something more optimal?

Once you know it is running ok, you can modify the mbcuda.cfg using notepad to open and save

The last 3 lines, replace with the following

processpriority = normal
pfblockspersm = 16
pfperiodsperlaunch = 400

Next is to place a commandline for the Astropulses

look for

ap_cmdline_win_x86_SSE2_OpenCl_NV

open with notepad and place the following

-use_sleep -unroll 10 -oclfft_plan 256 16 256 -ffa_block 8192 -ffa_block_fetch 4096 -tune 1 64 4 1 -tune 2 64 4 1

That should speed up both the MBs and APs

If you choose to use lunatics, be sure to use v43.b

Hope this helps

Zalster

Edit

2 of either is probably the best, you can do 3 MB but they take much longer and is less productive

I was running a R7 240 just fine with Win 8.1 2 MB tasks, or 1 AP task. But don't over clock it!

I see a note on my desk, driver 13.151 (available 14.501) I don't know which one I was using.

ap_cmdline_win_x86_SSE2_OpenCl_NV

I don't appear to have this, but rather one with ATI labels, I guess from the old card. Do I create one?

I have a CUDA 42 and a CUDA 50 file for mbcuda.cfg... should I modify both. What exactly does this modification do?

You can modify both cuda 42 and cuda 50 mbcuda.cfg. It shift the work unit from low priority to high priority. also lightly bigger pieces at a time. This is for a pure cruncher.

As for the ap_cmdline_win_x86_SSE2_Open_NV, maybe it's created after the installation of Lunatics. I forget sometimes. If so, you can wait on that until such time as you decide if you want the lunatics. Let see if one of the others comments about it.
