Beds. Well, I prefer a softer mattress. Too firm, and I can't get comfortable. Largest bed I've ever slept in is a Full. I see fancy Sleep Number style and memory foam mattresses advertised on the shopping channels. I just can't see spending that much. A California King is the biggest size, right? Reminds me of The Price is Right, when the announcer used to describe the new cars as having "California emission". ;~) The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Used to get a few kitty claw leaks, easily patched. None for a few years since I put a double mattress pad on it. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Beds. Well, I prefer a softer mattress. Too firm, and I can't get comfortable. I still have mine, stored in the garage. Mattress is in a box, frame and bookcase headboard are against the back of the fireplace (which we also don't use anymore). Got it from a Shipmate. His girlfriend (later wife) had a back problem and couldn't sleep on it, so he traded me even for a King set I bought at a 2nd-hand store. Used it in Charleston and San Diego, where we could live out in town. Stored it when I had to live in the barracks. Only issue - it is not a "waveless" mattress. In 1983 there was an earthquake offshore San Diego, and the waves in the mattress threw me on the floor.... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

On amazon the mattresses are inexpensive, but the cost goes up from there and a heater for the bed would be a good idea in this area, plus My the OA in My back(that's possibly why My back is so stiff) doesn't like being cold. Still it's an interesting idea. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

My sleep patterns have changed over the last week, edit: Maybe I'm still growing? |
