I hope someone here can give me a hand with this odd problem.
I have two identical machines, except for the MBs. One works fine processing GPU WUs and the other one fails on any GPU unit over 2 hours long. I've left them running for over 100 hours and the time to finish just keeps rising. Naturally I have to abort them.

Anyone else having this problem?

AMD A8 38070K Black Edition 3.0 Ghz

Have you exited Boinc and restarted the computer and see if it picks up and completes after you restart it?

I can't remember exactly but I think sometimes the driver crashes and then the computer just hums along without ever completing.

Just a thought. I'm sure some of the other will come up with some answers

You're exactly right. I guess I should have mentioned that I get the error of the graphics driver crashing when the WU fails. Funny that I never get it on the other machine running the exact same APU. Yes, I have quit Boinc and rebooted the system and it just backs up a little bit in the WU work time and them fails again at the same exact place. 7.4.42

I should mention that I am running 6.10.58 Boinc on the system that doesn't crash and 7.4.42 Boinc on the one that does crash and yes, I am using the AKv8c_Bb_r1846_winx86_SSE2x accelerator on both of them.

Thanks for the input!

Ok, then I would look at the drivers then.

More information about your system would help. I'm assuming when you say APU you are crunching on the chip with it's graphic?

You might want to ask in Number crunching about drivers for chips? I only crunch my system GPUs.

They can direct you to the right driver and if you need to change to a different one.

Thanks again. The drivers are the same on both systems, but I will take it to Number Crunching to see if they have any ideas.
