What's hot over there? The thermometer in my desk drawer is at almost 39°C inside at work.

In England it's about 15°C today.
Same here in Sweden.

Cloudy all day, light rain started about 1730 PDT.
Forecast high 93, actual high 86. My rainguage read 0.05 inch.

Still 78F and about 60% humidity at 2230 PDT.
More rain Wednesday, through at least noon, forecast high 94F.
103-105F Friday through Monday.

Reminds me of monsoon season in the tropics - 85F & 75% humidity when it isn't raining.....

I went to the UK and got only a drizzle of rain. Stockton seems to have gotten more in my absense.

Sadly rain happened on a watering day, so some sheltered plants didn't get any water for a week! In CA you can't water for two days after a drizzle.

Dirty water recovery back in place.

Uli - you will be pleased to know that the UK returned to its normal summer weather soon after your departure - we had a "gloriously" wet and windy weekend, and it is now cool and overcast, with a hint of rain in the wind....

Never mind it will soon be Wimbledon so the umbrellas, strawberries and cream teas will be out in force (or is it farce?)

Jarmo makes us sweat in the sauna club
The first section explains on how Jarmo's father died a heroic death in the Finnish Winter War, and so it becomes children's programs A Finn is stronger than 4 Svennar.
Program information
Sauna Club is a program about the tragic Sweden from a barren Finnish perspective. Jarmo is in place in their sweaty sauna to give its view on the last league Swedes. He is harder than a Karelian pirog and his perfection comes from a hard upbringing from his mother who is also his grandmother. She has brought up his son after his father passed away, and in the Sauna Club, we meet the young Jarmo and see samples of the upbringing that made him the consummate strong man.
We also meet Finland's Jukka single psychologist who works in Sweden and try to get the whining stag makers to understand that it could be much worse. Jarmo's nephews Tarja who have moved to Sweden and operates a Finnish video store and, not least Jarmo's old best friend Timo, once a fierce Finnish conscript - now a Svenne after he met a Swedish girl.
The first section explains on how Jarmo's father died a heroic death in the Finnish Winter War, the psychologist Jukka trying to get a patient to understand that he is difficult to take seriously with his whining that he "feels sorry" and we shall see the Finnish children's program A Finn is stronger than four Svennar where they are today playing the Finnish favorite game the Silence Game.

I feel for you Victor. I had to leave my office and go to the kitchen.
You know what they say. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

Sorry to here that.
California have both problem with heat (Yermo 109F, 43C right know) and a drought.
Here it is the opposite.
12C and LOTS of rain.
Summer as usual.

Id like to know when summer is coming? Its wierd here in NY. lots of rain, cloudy skies. Then it get hot and humid for a day then cold. It sucks when one day you have the AC on and the next the furnace.

I am in New Mexico. Summery is the rainy season here. Was just up in the mountains above Taos yesturday. Road was down to 1 lane as they were clearing a mud slide. Watching the morning news today I heard that a 28 foot tall flash flood had come down earlier. They were still searching for bodies.
Summer in Santa Fe warm with lots of thunder storms.
