Is it possible to set the program seti@home to finished work based on the nearest deadline? I have work with a deadline of 6/15/15 but it is working on the work that has a deadline of 7/21/15.

No. The order in which BOINC processes workunits is not a user-modifiable setting. BOINC works in the order in which tasks are received, not according to deadline.

As said, BOINC crunches tasks in the order received. The 'only' time that changes is when BOINC decides a task HAS to be worked on to meet the deadline- but it's a BOINC decision, not a user option.
