I see there are new GPU AP apps for Linux (7.08 21 May 2015, 23:56:05 UTC) at https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/apps.php. If you are using app_info.xml, I think you can still snag one if you know the download URL. Is the format of the link always the same so you can predict what it should be it based on the app name? |

Dang, you mean I can stop running the App on Beta? Looks like there are a Few Mac MB GPU Apps on Main now as well. Well, the url at beta should be the same App now on Main. You'll need these; http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/astropulse_7.08_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_ati_100 http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/ap_cmdline_7.08_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_ati_100.txt http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/astropulse_7.08_README_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_ati_100 http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/AstroPulse_Kernels_r2751.cl Now all you need is some APs...good luck with that. |

Dang, you mean I can stop running the App on Beta? Looks like there are a Few Mac MB GPU Apps on Main now as well. I was looking for the links for Nvidia rather than ATI so I used the ATI links as templates to roll my own which gave me these two. http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/astropulse_7.08_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_nvidia_100 http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/astropulse_7.08_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_nvidia_100 They worked fine. The third file I needed was the http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/AstroPulse_Kernels_r2751.cl but since that did not seem to be card specific I assumed it would work with both ATI and Nvidia cards so I used the link you provided. That was a bad assumption on my part. When I finally had an AP unit to try the new app on, it errored out. It seems it needs another kernel file based on the Stderr output, AstroPulse_Kernels_r2751.cl_GeForceGTX750Ti.bin_V7_TWIN_FFA_34647. I tried using the following URL based on the others http://boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/download/AstroPulse_Kernels_r2751.cl_GeForceGTX750Ti.bin_V7_TWIN_FFA_34647 Unfortunately it resulted in a "page not found" error. Any suggestions for another URL to try? |

AstroPulse_Kernels_r2751.cl_GeForceGTX750Ti.bin_V7_TWIN_FFA_34647 is a file generated by the App and the Driver, you will not find it anywhere online. It would appear there is a problem with the App on Your machine and it appears you have the correct app. Try posting the entire Error message from the Stderr like here, http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/forum_thread.php?id=2243&postid=54224#54224 It would appear there is a dependency problem with the app in that post. Maybe one on your host as well. |

Before I post in that thread, perhaps you could confirm that is the correct thread. When I opened your URL it brought up a thread with the title "OpenCL MultiBeam for Windows, Linux and OS X updated. Please test thoroughly." I am really not a big fan of hijacking a thread for MB problems with my AP problems. |

Actually I meant for you to post the Error here using the same style as in the other post. But, I found the Error myself. I also made the post for you where it might gain attention. Hopefully if someone responds they will post here, but you can check there as well, http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/forum_thread.php?id=2182&postid=54233#54233 I think I'm going to give up for today. I can't get any New Linux GPU MB work or New Mac CPU MB work. Time to find something else to do. Good Luck. |

After I copied it to /usr/sbin/BOINC/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu and restarted boinc I found the "AstroPulse_Kernels_r2751.cl_GeForceGTX750Ti.bin_V7_TWIN_FFA_34647" had been created in /usr/sbin/BOINC/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu. The GPU is currently working on an AP WU with astropulse_7.08_x86_64-pc-linux-gnu__opencl_nvidia_100. The task is not finished yet so the jury is still out but the fact that it is still being worked on means it is a lot further along then previous attempts. I suspect everything is now fine so I would not waste any further time on this unless I report back that there is still a problem. TBar, thanks for your effort and I apologize for the time you spent in assisting me and posting in the beta area. |

I did a lot poking around and found the "AstroPulse_Kernels_r2751.cl" file in /usr/sbin/BOINC/projects If that file was in "BOINC/projects" and not in "BOINC/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu" - it must be you that put it there by mistake. I don't see any other explanation. (Nor BOINC nor any app will look for or put any file in "BOINC/projects") Â - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) Â |

Since you're a member at Beta, maybe you can test the new Linux/x86_64 7.06 (opencl_nvidia_sah) App and see how it compares to your Custom CUDA App. It would be interesting to see how they compare. The App is showing 40 GigaFLOPS so apparently that App is working at Beta. |

I did a lot poking around and found the "AstroPulse_Kernels_r2751.cl" file in /usr/sbin/BOINC/projects Absolutely it was my mistake and I didn't mean to imply otherwise. It just took me a while to figure out what the problem was. |

I just have not figured out how to uncouple it or delete that beta account. I have only run production SETI on this machine and I only have one 750 TI card. When, and if, version 7.06 makes to the production side I might indeed see how it compares. Thanks again. |
