Can Western Europe afford, perhaps millions (why not), of New Poor into their County's/Cultures, in the meantime?

We can't but we don't need to deal with 'millions'. The idea that all immigrants come from poor countries to rich countries is utter nonsense. Europe deals with about 10% of the world immigrant population. The vast majority stays in the region they are born in.

How does Secular, and Tolerant Western Europe, assimilate all these Religious, Non-Tolerant people?

How nice of you to just brush over all those non white people non Christian people as religious zealots and intolerant. Those people are human beings who want just one thing, a better life for themselves and their families. They want to work, get an education, earn money and be able to afford all the nice stuff that we hold for granted. They risk their lives for that, and what do they get. People like you, who judge them like you just did.

Sorry for these Inconvenient Questions. I am just a Practicable Person, who believes in Practicable Solutions.

They aren't inconvenient questions, they are ignorant questions that show you don't know jack about the scale, scope and nature of the problem.

Maybe EU should send ferries to Libya with immigration officers on board and do all their checking at place and going back with only refugees.
Or is that illegal?

That is assuming that if the nice immigrant officer tells the immigrant that they won't be accepted in Europe the immigrant will just go back to where he or she came from. Telling people on in Libya that they won't get residence permits or whatnot will only encourage illegal immigration. On top of that, a lot of these people wish to ask for asylum and that can only be done in territory of the state you want to ask it from.

The only way to stop immigration is to take away reasons for immigration. That basically means reduce poverty and stop war. Or make the situation in Europe so bad no one (including Europeans) wants to live here anymore.

If not that, then the best you can do is make it easy for people to get into Europe through legal means. Organize a ferry system, let everyone come in here. Rather than focus on ways of keeping people out, come up with ways to include people into our countries. We can all benefit from their presence if we do it right. We need the workers, and if they work legally, they pay tax and are less likely to rely on all kinds of social security benefits. Also, if its easy to come in, its also easier for people to go back again once they feel they had enough of Europe.

The EU has declared war against smugglers after Sunday's disaster when around 800 people drowned when a boat sank off the coast of Libya.

At Thursday's extraordinary meeting, EU leaders agreed to triple the operation Triton on the Mediterranean. In addition, the smugglers will be fought with military operations to seize and destroy traffickers boats to break their network.

But the measures are met by - mockery.

British newspaper The Times, which has been in place in the port town of Khoms in Libya and talked to smugglers. EU proposal with more surveillance and military operations will not affect refugee flows, says the smugglers. Although it temporarily obstruct their activities will not stop desperate people from trying to cross the Mediterranean, but then by getting their own boats and make the risky journeys on their own, writes the Times.
