I am starting this tread for a place for the SETI crew to post.

We all know that donations help with wages and hardware.

But I would love to see the crew say "I want this"

If you say what part you really need I'm sure some will help.

[Non-official-comment] The sentiment, IMO, gels with the GPUUG members Brad and Phil's experience, in that many of us would like to progress from closeted academia to 'big engineering'. That discussion, again IMO, is valid given ongoing basic connectivity and infrastructure issues that surely inhibit the science parts. It's probably not something encouraged by the school (I'd imagine) but perfectly acceptable outside that domain.
