I think he lost power to the motherboard fan outputs. That is a separate power off the power supply right? I think maybe the square 4 pin cable - but IDK.

Try reseating your motherboard power cables.

Or you may have a failing power supply, hopefully not motherboard.

It's an agely ABIT BP6 board...some of us used to gather on this BP6 fan forum...

and it's running 2x533@544 Celerons...on WinXP SP3, extended to 2019!
maybe, just maybe...it might live up to 20y?! :D

I'm glad that worked for you.

Years ago I had a 486 DX4 running seti 24/7. They always warned that you had to have a really good fan on the CPU to keep it cool. The fan started to get noisy, then finally it quit. I didn't have a replacement so I thought I would see how long this old computer would last.

It ran another year before I needed the HD for another computer, and retired it. It never did burn up.

well it runs WCG, working on Ebola cure right now...

SETI@home is working just on my GPUs! ;)
