Hi folks.
I started doing SETI jobs ages ago, but then stopped for reasons I forget.
Anyway, I'm back now and trying to pick up where I left off.
So, I installed BOINC and the seti project, but nothing doing - I continually get "Communication deferred".
I'm fairly sure BOINC is set up OK as einstein@home is quite happy churning away.

The only change is that I've upgraded my computer (mac pro running osx10.10).
From the message log I get:
"Sun 1 Mar 15:05:30 2015 | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down"
But the server status page all appears OK.

Any thoughts?
Thanks
Paul

I think the server might be having a problem. I have a bunch of tasks trying to upload but can't reach the server. It's late here in Thailand. I'll look again in the morning and see what happened overnight.

Good luck!

Thanks for that - I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days.

The thing I'm thinking of is: if you came back after a long time and you're still using an old optimized client you might want to delete everything and start all over again.

Mainly because Boinc and Seti have had many changes over the past few years.

So your old configuration may be causing the behavior in question.
