Should really mention this, but the text composing window is way to small. I am having trouble locating errors I happen to come across before a post becomes completely finished editing. I do not press the Preview-button every time, especially when editing single words only. But too soon a text may scroll beyond a single window and with a lack of a search engine for text in this window, given words may be hard to locate at times. Therefore this window or box has to be made larger in size. The "Rules" section given for posting better should be placed above or below the composing window or made slightly smaller when it comes to its width. With my poor eyesight, I will have to use the Windows magnifying tool in order to be able to read and compose text. That means even more work needs to be done and also makes things more slow going. Also, BTW, it still reads "posts" there. Thanks! |

One solution is to use a browser that allows the use of a spell checker - I use Firefox which has a number of languages available. In most modern browsers it is possible to set the default text size, this will allow you to choose a font and size you can read. I know this means more scrolling down, but it does save the problem of having to scroll sideways to read the text, which is what can happen when you use the "zoom" feature. Therefore this window or box has to be made larger in size. There is a resize option in the lower right corner of the answer box. I see that there in all versions of Firefox/derivations of the Mozilla engine and in Internet Explorer. It shows as an arrow made up of individual dots. Mouse over it and the mouse pointer changes to a double arrow. Left-click to grab. Then move the mouse to how big you want the answer box to be. |

There is a resize option in the lower right corner of the answer box. Funny, I never noticed that ... Also there is option to zoom in/out any page in the browser: Ctrl+[Grey+] Ctrl+[Grey-] Ctrl+[Grey0] = return to 100% zoom (on some browsers this is Ctrl+[Grey*]) Â - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) Â |
