I installed the BOINC App on my android phone the other day and just noticed that the first two tasks that it returned where marked "validation inconclusive". What does this mean?

Validation inconclusive is a "normal" state, it means that the crunchers who have processed that work unit returned results that were not "sufficiently similar" to be considered valid, so they work unit is sent out to another to act as an arbiter.

One of your inconclusive results has now been validated...
The other is still awaiting another cruncher to return its data.

Only worry when you start to see your "invalid" count climbing.

I had an "invalid" problem with my last phone. I was worried this problem was happening with my new phone and that I wasn't going to be able to use my phone for the project. I also just installed BOINC on my new Macbook and it seems to be running circles around everything else I've used thus far.
