So, I just noticed a recurring series of three pulses on my SETI screen saver. I know this stuff is usually terrestrial in origin, but it still was exciting. That'd be awesome if I just found me a bona-fide ET signal <.< I assume I don't need to let anyone know, but the nerd in me wants to tackle a scientist and have them analyze this stuff. |

Apparently the experts don't think your three pulses are an indication of having an intelligent origin. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

The three green-tipped spikes in a Triplet are only shown when it will be reported in the uploaded result file. The science status page indicates 2,231,286,920 have been entered into the database. That is, the first level data reduction we're doing considers those interesting. Further analysis may eventually indicate some are persistent and not from any known RFI source, so worthy of reobservation. Joe |
