I cannot get any astropulse work units. The Intel GPU does not seem to work.

CUDA: NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GTX 580

OpenCL: NVIDIA GPU 1: GeForce GTX 680

Possibly back to the question of interrupts again.

Or maybe it is one physical card slot against the other.

Or perhaps it may be that OpenCL is giving a preference when it comes to nVidia, or vice versa.

Which iGPU driver release do you have installed? OpenCL 1.2 support was added to the driver at a specific point.
Do you have a monitor connected to the iGPU, a dummy plug, or do you have your desktop extended to it? One of those is normally required for BOINC to decided that the GPU is "active".

EDIT- I have seen some posts about issues with some of the latest Intel drivers, but I don't know if that applies to your onchip graphics or not.

This would be a more direct link to the iGPU drivers.

You will probably need to extend your desktop for BOINC to detect the GPU. If you need help with that I did a quick procedure. Which you can find here.

NOT RECOMMENDED - most, if not all, of those drivers produce faulty results with the current applications. Hold on for a recommended download.

Driver 10.18.10.3621 has been found to give reliable results. Two sources:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23886
http://downloadmirror.intel.com/23885/a08/win64_153322.zip

The first is from an obscure development release, but I have confirmed that it is identical to the official public release. The second is a direct download link.

The Setup program claims that system minimum requirements is not met. This is strange. Is not Ivy Bridge 3770K supported?

I have run driver 3621 successfully on my i7-3770K, although I remember the installation program being a little picky.

Since we last spoke in this thread, there have been several other discussions, and we've come to the conclusion that 4061 is also a viable driver: try

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24593&lang=eng&ProdId=3712

I think the newer setup programs have a higher chance of success, but if it still won't play, look at Intel's ReadMe files (they're pretty good), and follow the instructions for 'Microsoft Windows* "Have Disk" Installation' - that did it for me.

I tried the mentioned driver.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24593

The installation does just not work. The same error message is shown. How do you get a have disk installation? There is no unused device in the device manager when selecting scan for hardware changes.

Verify that you are running the 64-bit version of Windows 7 or above.

Take the second download link from that page - for win64_153332.zip

Right-click on the downloaded file, and select 'Extract All...' - else use your regular archive manager to extract all the files and folders from the .zip archive.

Locate the file 'Installation_Readme.txt'

Follow the listed instructions exactly - don't do what I do and skip through them, thinking 'oh, I've done this before - I can remember how it goes'. Believe me, you don't.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Windows* "Have Disk" Installation
------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Click "Start", right-click "Computer", and click "Properties".

2. Click "Device Manager" on the left.

3. In the "User Account Control" window, click "Yes".

IF UPDATING DRIVER GO TO STEP 5

4. Double-click "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)" if present under
"Other Devices". (Go to step 6).

5. Expand "Display adapters" and double-click the graphics controller.

6. In the "Driver" tab, click "Update Driver".

7. Click "Browse my computer for driver software".

8. Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".

9. Click "Have Disk..." and click "Browse".

10. Browse to the directory where you unzipped the file you
downloaded, click the "Graphics" folder, and select the
"igdlh.INF" file. Click "Open".

11. Click "OK" and click "Next". The operating system will install
the driver.

12. Click "Close" and click "Yes" to reboot. The driver should now
be loaded.

Note that the step 'selecting scan for hardware changes' doesn't appear anywhere except in your post.

Ah yes the P67 chipset does not allow the iGPU to be used. While all of the other 6 series & all 7 series chipsets do.

And some of the base versions of other chipsets will not allow the iGPU to work when a dedicated GPU is installed.

Cheers.

I went to the device manager for have disk installation. The problem is that there was not suitable free device available. I ended up trying to install the have disk driver on gtx 580 device. It may not work out well but at least the hd4000 driver files are now present on the system.

Can Integrated graphics somehow be disabled from bios?

It can, and on one of my machines (a Dell Optiplex business mini-tower), it is automatically and unconditionally disabled every time I plug a PCI-e graphics card into the machine - to the extent that if I forget to change the video cable over, a BIOS message "You've got the monitor plugged into the wrong port" comes up on screen, and it won't go any further into POST and boot.

Enabled Virtu IGPU within bios.

Windows installed immediately the driver on startup and windows colour scheme went to basic (any idea why?).
