Any guidance on getting SETI working with IRIX 6.5? The two ports that exist on the Internet (dotsch.de and nekoware.net) are both too old to crunch current work units.

I tried compiling the sources, myself, but the __autoSetup script is hanging when trying to detect M4. Surely someone has already done this port for us more recently than 2006? :)

Thanks,
BGU

P.S. The BOINC port from those sites still works correctly & is not a problem.

I don't think anyone has done a recent port of the latest SETI apps for IRIX. Dotsch was the main person behidn obscure application builds, I imagine he would be the best one to assist.

I guess we'll just have to man up & fix this! I'm posting a shell transcript. The auto-setup script hangs on the M4 check.

Can anyone think of a work-around? Thanks, BGU

/tmp/seti_boinc # ./_autosetup
