Hi! Everybody...

After 8 months (contract) outside Quebec, I am back home. I have missed you all that time and especially the Cafe SETI. Here it is -15 C so my Canadian blood need adaptations... A good hot coffee with brandy and Tia Maria will do the job.

Tomorrow is the last day of 2014 and I am wishing all of you to see yours wishes coming true. I will be with you for the breakfast Thursday the first of 2015.

Bye

JC

Welcome back :) The fireplace is in perfect working order here :)

Flaming drinks are a bit of a fire hazard.

Okay, it's a new year. I'll skip the pancakes and eggs for breakfast. Just give me a bunch of bacon and one piece of sourdough, lightly toasted and well buttered. Orange juice now, another one this evening with vodka.

Looks good Mike, just scoot the tomatoes off to one side and I'll have one please. It will need a mug of coffee and a glass of orange juice (fresh pressed, none of that over processed stuff that floating around a while ago)

Yes, ditch the tomatoes. If I can chew the green leaves, fine. No coffee, though.

As most of you know I am a confirmed, paid up, card carrying, life member of the British Xenophobia Club, and generally speaking civilisation ends at Dover, and they eat babies north of Watford. Although it pains me to say it, if there is one thing them continentals do get about right, it is their "Continental Breakfast". All these people making right pigs of themselves gorging on huge plates of fried breakfasts, only shortens their lives, and adds to their cholesterol.

If only we could get them to make some decent beer for a change, the Channel Tunnel might have been a good thing after all :-))

Decent beer? Sorted :)

@Chris
I googled and binged English breakfast. I have one question. What are the beans for? If it was lunch or supper I would understand better their purpose on the plate.
