I know that we did have a thread somewhere on this subject, but I can't find it. This weekend here, meteor showers are suppose to be very visible at night. http://www.news.com.au/national/breaking-news/meteor-showers-visible-over-the-weekend/story-e6frfku9-1227154869820 But last night was pointless due to the overcast conditions (again) so I'll just have to see what happens tonight. Cheers. |

You're welcome Julie, but it seems like everytime something like this happens there's always cloud getting in the way. ;-) Cheers. |

It is very clear here in Florida but a bit too nippy for me to be out stargazing just two days after surgery. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

It's partly cloudy here but I can see Orion on the sky. No meteors however. |

Geminid Meteors The Geminid meteor shower is at its best the next couple of nights. There are more meteors after midnight, when Earth faces more directly into the meteor stream. By then, though, the Moon will be in the sky, so its glare will interfere with the show. |

Same here, if it is after midnight the moon will blank out most of it. |
