Nah, the other computer. I'm going to add a GT 730 to it.

While we're on the topic, how many tasks at once do you think the GT 730 can run...two? I set my 550 Ti to process two.

It's the newer 730 with the specs on far right:

-unroll 12 -ffa_block 12288 -ffa_block_fetch 6144

I'm currently using:

-unroll 4 -ffa_block 6144 -ffa_block_fetch 1536 -tune 1 64 8 1 -use_sleep

For a GTX550 ti. Which settings would be better? Mine, or the one above it? (running two tasks at a time)

I'm not sure with that GT 730.

What I would try first is seeing how long it takes with just 1 work unit and after a dozen or so you should have a good estimate.

Then I would try it with 2. If the time to complete is equal or greater than double the original time then I would not go above 1. It does have alot more cuda cores so maybe 2 isn't a stretch.

Even with the GTX 750s, 2 is the limit. Anything more for those is wasted energy and time.

As far as what the setting should be?

Mike is the one to ask. He has tested alot of these cards and can give you what would be the best parameters for yours.

I'm going to post a link to the 750 thread where we talked about this when those first came out.

For the GTX 550Ti, truthfully I'm not sure.

Mike listed this for a GTX 650

-use_sleep -unroll 10 -oclfft_plan 256 16 256 -ffa_block 8192 -ffa_block_fetch 4096 -tune 1 64 4 1 -tune 2 64 4 1

But it may be different for 550. Again, I'd wait to see what he has to say on the matter.

Thanks, Zalster. I think two will be about the limit for a 730. I read it has two compute units too (half of my 550 Ti)
