Cat 14.9 is out and we are up to OpenCL 1.2 AMD-APP (1573.4). I haven't seen anything weird on my HD5750 yet. Let's hope they didn't introduce any new bugs like in 13.1.
Also I updated my driver version sheet. Should I add a section of links to the legacy driver downloads as well?

Would anyone recommend updating from

13.9 for my ATI 4770 on Win 7 64 bit

12.6 for my ATI 5850 on Win 7 64 bit.

If so what benefits would I get, if any?

13.9 is the most current legacy driver. Legacy cards are HD4000 series & older.

The processing time on my 5750 have gone down about 13% since switching drivers. The might just be luck of the draw in the tasks and not the driver.

I suppose they had to do something while it was still September, otherwise it would have been 14.10

It worries me when something is released just in the nick of time to meet some arbitrary numbering scheme - I tend to feel that the new features probably weren't quite cooked yet. YMMV.

Actually...This Driver appears to be the best one since 13.4, for my Windows 8.1 machine anyway. It looks as though 14.9 has finally solved the Wake from Sleep Bug that has been plaguing my 7750. So far not any problems. I have narrowed it down to the Gigabyte 7750, the 6770 doesn't have the problem. I was about to swap the cards out again until this release. Strange that 14.9 works where 14.7 RC3 still had the problem...

there seems to be "intermittent issues" in 14.9 with catalyst control center causing it to crash or fail to load .. 14.9.1 beta has been released
