Well I upgraded the intel to 7.2.42 for the second time and Lunatics 0.42 and once again I'm having problems with it .
I now have the GTX 650 card in it and wish to run 2 units on the GPU and yet when I change the <count><count> to 2 in the app-inf.xml it does nothing it just sits there saying waiting to run . However if I make the count 1 it will do 1 units why is this happening .

Yes to get 2 work units running you need 0.5 there instead of 2.

Cheers.

Ok working now geeees wahoo that is not so stupid I was trying to use both cards in the AMD a few weeks ago and for some reason I thought 2 when I dam well know it's 0.5 for 2 and 0.33 for 3 . I aborted 40 units cause I could not figure out what I was doing wrong and getting very frustrated when it wouldn't do 3 MB .

I can be a real dumdass moron sometimes .

I'm gona blame old age hehehehe

Thank's both of you wahoo and wiggo

I have a gpu question myself.

I have a four core cpu and a onboard gpu. I want to drop one core so I can give the gpu more crunching power. What changes do I make to do this.

Computer preferances then proccessor usage on mutil proccessor systems use at least 75% that will turn 1 core off so you can have it for the GPU

Doing 3 at a time is pointless with a GTX650 I can tell you Glenn, stick to 2.

Under preferences in the BOINC manager use the setting of 75% where it says "On multiprocessor systems, use at most XXX% of the processors" Leland. ;-)

Cheers.

Actually Wiggo it's ok on the MB but not with AP's thou i run 2 of them and 3 MB when i do MB that is

The times only go out to 40 mins when doing 3 MB in stead of 16-24 mins for 1 and about 32 mins for 2

But you definatly wright about AP's thou the times go out to 4- 5 hrs if i do 3 AP's so 2 is just right 2.11 mins for 2 and 1.05 for 1
