Since you posted this, I see you have gotten some work units. Can we assume that they are running on your machine? Or have they not started at all? Either way, please let us know so we can give advice if needed. Zalster |

I too am unable to get SETI started. I have downloaded Boinc but am unable to get any work units or the screen saver can you help me? I do not see any computers attached to your account at SETI. You have to attach your computer(s) to your account at SETI@Home or any project(s) you wish to join. This is done through the BOINC program that you downloaded and installed. We cannot tell if there is anything preventing that from happening on you machine. The attachment wizard should appear when you open BOINC Manager. If not, it is under tools -> add project. Make certain you use the exact same email address and password you used to create the account you are using to post here. If there are any other symptoms or error messages, let us know. BOINC WIKI |

John was saying that you don't have any computers attached to the seti project just yet. You need to attach and register that computer so that the server can see it and download the appropriate applications to it. |

John was saying that you don't have any computers attached to the seti project just yet. You need to attach and register that computer so that the server can see it and download the appropriate applications to it. And if you attempt to attach a computer to your account, and it doe not work, we need as much detail about what you did and what BOINC responded as possible so that we hav a chance of diagnosing whatever problem you have. Actually, upon closer inspection, it appears that the account had a couple of computers attached a few years ago, but no activity in years. Nothing seems to be attached at the moment though. I have the Einstein@home screen saver running. How do I get the SETI screensaver running or does the program just switch from one to the other? |

Once again... How do I get the screensaver running? And "Once again" - you need to first 'Add' SETI@home project to that computer How do you expect SETI@home screensaver to be running if you don't have any apps and tasks from SETI@home? http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php?userid=748127 "I have the Einstein@home screen saver running"?? - how that is possible (you have second account?) if you don't have computers attached to Einstein@home http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/hosts_user.php?userid=209301 Â - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) Â |

Once again... How do I get the screensaver running? I suspect you have created a second ID The one you are posting here with is your original 748127 created in Feb 2000. The new one I suspect is 10056649 created on the 11th October 2014 Not sure how that happened, however it does show the second ID has SETI@Home WU's However you say that you have the Einstein@Home screen saver running, so that means Einstein@Home is crunching OK and the SETI@Home screensaver should come on when SETI@Home is crunching. Unless you have set it so that say Einstein crunches on GPU and SETI on CPU they cannot crunch together. I found Einstein was too aggressive and tended to have shorter deadlines meaning it was in use more than SETI, one reason I stopped crunching Einstein. PS you cannot combine ID's, so you need to decide which one you want to use. |

Same problem here. I'm returning after a long hiatus and am not able to get any work units. Is it me or are we just in the middle of a dry spell? |

Same problem here. I'm returning after a long hiatus and am not able to get any work units. Is it me or are we just in the middle of a dry spell? Yes there are currently no new work units to process. If you look at the home page "News" you will see a couple of problems Or have a look here http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=76108&postid=1600710 |
