Nope

Toyota Blade.

Imagine a Corolla with a 270hp V6 in it :D

And it still has room for the groceries ;)

I think we may have found some who is immune to Seti-itus, bought a car instead of cruncher :)

And it's a sedan, looks nice, but I like coupes better, no offense meant of course.

Young family to haul around. A coupe is certainly a sportier look, but 2 year olds and car seats in a 2 door car gets old pretty quick.

Nice thing about this is how stealth it is. Looks almost identical to my 73 year old Mother's Nana-mobile. No loud exhaust, no scoops, silly spoilers etc. It's just goes ;)

And so does being an old fart having to climb back into the rear seat get old also. Nope 4 doors for me now. Having 4 doors is just so much more handy. And having 4 doors in no way prevents a car from having get up and go.

A coupe in My case is practical, I'm 6'1" and I find it's harder to get in a sedan with My long legs, than in a coupe. My car is not loud, I have no added in body parts, but then I have a 134hp 2.0L engine, that's plenty for Me. I did add a K&N air filter and a K&N oil filter w/5w30 synthetic Royal Purple motor oil, 4 Iridium sparkplugs(to be replaced with 4 Motorsport Platinum spark plugs), plus I replaced the stock Ford CD changer with an Alpine model that plays MP3 CD's, added cruise control(the car was already wired for that), beyond that, I've done nothing beyond normal maintenance, of which I'll soon do more, all on a 15yr old 1999 Ford Escort zx2 sport Hot Coupe. The car even has hand crank windows, no power? No problem. :)

Me neither, but in 1999 they were available for Ford, after that, who knows?

My last car that had them was 1995 Saturn. And that was a special order on my part. Same as the 5 speed on the floor.

And Mine has auto door locks from the Ford alarm fob and a 4spd automatic transmission, I'm pretty happy with the car.

Mine however is I am afraid much more sensible

New today:

Nissan Note Acenta 1.2, with a greener engine that means I pay no road tax for the first 12 months then only £20 per year after that saving £105 over my old car.

Never going to win any races , but I have had a few cars over the years that might have!!

This is 100% practical.

But no new crunchers either!

I can remember when in the USA, Nissan imported cars under the Datsun brand, My Nephew has one still, I think it's from 1978 too!

Both of US would have to win the Lottery to get a new car, He works His ass off 6 days a week to support 3 people, Me I get barely enough to survive on and fix things, when I'm 62 that should change some what, then I might have as much as another $500 a month when I get My Social Security Retirement checks...

I just blew my budget on new tires, so I can't get a new cruncher either.

I had to get new tires for my car two years ago. OUCH is putting it mildly.

See if you put the 2 cars side by side it would be hard to pick the fast one right?

And a modern 1.2 l engine puts out a decent amount of power for a small car like that, 100% practical.

But I'm not giving up the extra 200hp the Toyota has ;)
