Greetings all. Well I've been observing my new system's daily status, and it has been pounding away on work units like a champ. Until yesterday, it seems. For the past day or two it looks like I may not be getting any credit for work being done, but I wouldn't know why. I checked the BOINC event log, but it hasn't recorded anything out of the ordinary (just ordinary WU downloads, starts, and finishes). The project tasks list has been updating regularly, and I'm apparently still processing lots of WUs. Anyone have any ideas of what might be happening, or at least what I can do to keep troubleshooting? Thanks for any help. |

The stat sites show you are getting credit. When you say flat lined are you looking at the graph in BOINC? Sometimes it doesn't update correctly. So you may just want to restart BOINC. If it is not updating after that there may be an issue with your statistics_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml not getting updated. Edit: You can see the credit granted on your machines by looking at their valid tasks. Your machine 7356542 for example. Looking at that machine, Silverdude, you have a large percentage of "pending" tasks, most of which your wingman is a much slower machine than yours. You may just have hit a slow spot, and your RAC will come back up when those folks finish and report. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

At least yours has levelled off. Thanks to Credit New & crunching MB only, after hitting a peak in early July my RAC has been steadily declining ever since. Grant Darwin NT |

Huh. Yeah I see now on the stats page that I have 475 pending validation. Wow! I need a faster wingman I guess ;-) BTW yes I was referring to the Show Host Average graph in BOINC, which always seemed reliable to me. Grant- would that be a good excuse to add another system to your collection? Thanks for the feedback guys. |

Grant- would that be a good excuse to add another system to your collection? Nah, the power bills are bad enough now. Grant Darwin NT |

Huh. Yeah I see now on the stats page that I have 475 pending validation. Wow! I need a faster wingman I guess ;-) We all do. We all do. Worse for those of us who crunch MB as the really fast host owners refuse to crunch them, looking to boost RAC with an all AP diet. |

If the work is there i do it, my machines are to slow to worry about high rac, Mb are to do just like when i was working I like the good jobs but did not mind the doing what others would not |

Worse for those of us who crunch MB as the really fast host owners refuse to crunch them I wish i could back to crunch MB only, my few cores hosts has problem to feed the GPU´s when do AP but the reality is simple creditscrew mess is too big, Crunching AP my RAC is in the range of 450K if i crunch Mb only it´s drops to 250K just because creditscrew. I´m sure others have similars numbers. That´s why i ask too many times to balance the numbers on this forums. |
