I know this is not the place for this topic, but I don't know where else to post it.

When I go to the Cosmology@home Web site, it has a bunch of ads and at the top of the page small message stating, "cosmologyathome.org expired on 08/13/2014 and is pending renewal or deletion." Does anybody know if the people running Cosmology@home are aware of this? Is someone in contact with them that can inform them, if they don't know?

I have not been able to report completed work units for a few days now. I'm sitting on sixty w/u trying to contact the server.

Ooopsie...looks like their domain name was not renewed.
That's got to be a big embarrassment.

I suspect if any admin sees their network traffic drop to zero, they'll figure it out.

Else, somebody would have to have a direct email addy to contact somebody in charge.

I only crunch Seti, but I wish all participants at Cosmology the best of luck.
Hope you are back up soon.

Meow.

All I got was a blank page so posted a query on Boincstats. Maybe someone there has a direct link to the project.

Direct link to the project home page gets you this....
No contact through the project website is possible because the domain name is down.
As I said, somebody would have to have a means of direct contact outside of the project site.

Sorry Mark, that's what I meant - should have clarified it better. As for your link, still getting a blank page with that one.

I use Avast! anti-virus and it screams when I try to open the page. I also use Adblock Plus so I get a blank page when I disable Avast!. If I also disable Adblock I see the page with the message about the site being expired.

I think the BOINC forum has a section about down projects and such. Have you tried there yet?

Excellent link.
Looks like they are aware and are working on it.
