Well Mark i got a bit peed off with the answer as my building is only 3 and harf yrs old so it is not that and i all ready have a meter on the power point and i can see no prob the power at the low end is 239.9 and at the high end 241 and normal should be 240 here in Australia so i don't think that is the problem and telling me a 500 watt is ok when 2 PSU way over that have failed so in my response i told them about the dodgy PCIE port being faulty that some ppl have had with this model mobo and then said that it could all so be the 4+1 power design so lets see how they respond this time i was a bit rude in the way i replyed but i did not swear and i told them what i'm trying to do so this time there better give me a better answer

Hope you get some better info then. Being newly constructed does not always rule out an issue with the power. Mistakes happen. At least you have verified your mains is healthy, so that is off the table as an issue.

Thank's arkayn
Are you using the 970 chipset with that 1 ,it has been suggested that it' could also be the 4+1 power on the board and maybe i should be using the 990 chipset as it has 8+2 ?

Nope, mine is a 870 chipset.

Though I plan on eventually upgrading to a newer board and processor.
