Now, here's the weird thing... Units are Uploading, Reporting, and last night I even received a new set of Units; however, the boards are still down.

There were over 5000 ready to send tasks when the web service first disappeared, and that gradually declined on http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/beta/status.php. IOW, Feeder and Schedulers wre still running. Sometime yesterday there were slightly more than 1000 left, but a request for AP v7 tasks did not get any. Now there are none at all left, and "Workunits waiting for validation" gradually grew over the same period to its present ~4400, indicating that the validators are down.

The left column on that status page always has multiple problems, but the right column usually tells the truth.

Beta data driven web pages are back. Ready to send is exceptionally large but I haven't tried to check the mix. There are still many "Workunits waiting for validation" so perhaps the validators haven't been recovered yet. Things are looking better, though.

It's easily fixed by manually adding the scheduler url and removing the <master_url_fetch_pending/> line,
But these sort of workarounds shouldn't be required to see if the scheduler is up or not, it isn't:
