Bah, I spoke too soon and didn't bother to verify things and make sure I could replicate the problem. BOINC ran for a day and a half and then started choking again.

I found out it seems to choke (for me) on the opencl_ati5_cat132 tasks while the opencl_ati_cat132's seem to process nice and quickly. As frustrating as it is, its better than a hardware problem. :-) Maybe I'll start a separate thread in a few days if I can figure anything else out.

One particular task that wouldn't process for me is: 31au13ac.11758.31291.438086664207.12.217_1
