At this moment I have Einstein vs SETI set up With 200/100. Number of tasks in Einstein are normally around 3, chances of completing very high. Downloaded number of tasks in SETI shows at around 30 at every given moment, and new task does not start with the 1st deadline but rather one month ahead. Today's example: I have 15 tasks on deadline 9.6, but SETI starts first task with deadline 25.6. Also the resource sharing time is nothing like the expected 200/100: After APPROX. 3 days i have got 1:34 into a task of 4:10 with deadline 25.6. Excuse me if this is a stupid question, I have only run SETI since 99 and EINSTEIN since 05. Clarifying answers preferred:-) K. By the way, just upgraded to 7.2.42-64 from 7.0.28 (no Virtual), if this will solve my problems I have been too hasty... |

Resource share is a long term concept. Track it over a couple of months. If possible, BOINC will run tasks on hand in a round robin mode as modified by resource share. If there is any risk that one of the projects will have late tasks by doing this, that project will get to use more of the CPU now with the trade off being that it will not be allowed to download work for a while later.
