My connection to http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ is lost; connections to all
BOINC projects still ok.

Would there be a conflict with my Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers?

No, web browsers would not conflict and cause a website to go down.

I get an error message when trying to visit http://boinc.berkeley.edu as well. When I run the URL through http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/, it tells me that it is down for everyone.
