Perhaps he has ridden the Number 7 train out to Queens. Shooting outrageously from the lip, Braves closer John Rocker bangs away at his favorite targets: the Mets, their fans, their city and just about everyone in it |

Oh dear, my mistake, I thought I was quoting the BBC not the "Waily Fail" :-) |

They aren't special forces. I can't read the quoted link and don't know about individual people. That said having been in the regular Army (drafted) I can recognize well trained and disciplined troops, even on video, by their bearing, the way they carry their weapons and the spacing between them. The troops that invaded Crimea were very disciplined, they did not fire a shot in anger or with emotion. They are the type who when given an order to jump don't come down until told to do so. A little trick of the drill sergeants after we were told to jump was to scream "who told you to come down". We couldn't help it as we were only in basic training. |

They aren't special forces. Do you mean you can not access the website or that you do not understand Swedish? If the latter I dont blame you. My point is that there is no need for special forces like Spetsnaz to perform this task. The Russian soldiers who have been in Ukraine and helped seperatists is not from the Russian army. However, they have been in the Russian army and they have both combat experience and discipline. Moscow denies this, of course. |

The US of A has a "Delta Force"; it is beyond Navy Seals. That is all I can say about that. All I'm saying is the troops that took Crimea were not a militia or reserve and they have been training together for a long time. Where they came from or who they are I, along with 99 and 44/100% of US, don't care. |

Of course Putin is laughing. No, Strelkov (Girkin) - simple ensign (the middle between sergeant and officer)! Simple loser and envier, "historical reconstructor" from Moscow ! Read here (on russian) http://news.bigmir.net/ukraine/815770-Moskal---doneckij--Strelok----obychnyj-praporcshik Maybe, he - already been eliminated (information has not officially confirmed)! Pistol - on wire from the telephone... "catastrophe",not a terrorist! :) Warning, this video +18 http://upi.org.ua/news/rezultati_zachistki_teroristiv_pid_kramatorskom_video/2014-05-16-19310 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpJF2ac1waY |

Putin's motto is Divide and Conquer. I see, a former lieutenant. One can not trust any news media anymore. :) |

Can someone tell me what he last two posts are about? It's about Russian "military" presence in eastern Ukraine. |

Can someone tell me what he last two posts are about? Whether they are military, spies or a combination is not important but they are there. Does anyone without an agenda doubt it. Whoever they are they are not the same troops, in numbers, who captured Crimea though. This subject is fading from the popular news so it is finished for now. What happened with the vote for independence that Putin said they shouldn't have. Putin has the EU by the natural gas short hairs and "The Great Satan" isn't going to help, much, this time. US don't have a Soviet type cold war interest in this. |

@alex stiletto As you probably know, our Foreign Minister Carl Bildt was in Ukrania today. Besides meeting with politicians and businessmen could Bildt also learn 1700s Swedish dialect in Gammalsvenskby (СтарошведÑьке)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gammalsvenskby, a renowned city with descendants of Estonian Swedes in southern Ukraine. |

@alex stiletto There you go. Sweden can now invade Ukraine to protect Swedish speaking people. I'll cheer you on and wish you victory as you convert the Orthodox back to Lutheran. |

@alex stiletto janneseti, I know it! In the southern part of Ukraine peacefully coexist more than 140 nations and nationalities. Moreover, I personally visited the area in the Kherson region. I already wrote about the relationship Ukraine-Sweden, remembering the King Charles XII... (in this topic, see above)! Only Ukraine, starting from 1991, made it possible for Ukrainian Swedes quietly develop their national culture. Now we will defend them and the rest of our population Ukraine! Pointer, near the village,in four languages; in Russia - no such (see photo) https://www.flickr.com/photos/sofiahoas/6283977965/in/set-72157627986204772 Swedish site about life in Ukraine - http://wp.svenskbyborna.se/ P.S. And someone twirls record: fascists, nazis, "right sector" and so on... We - most kind and peaceful nation in the World! We wish to all nations - of Peace too! Also - for Russia..., but we will refund back Crimea, how expensive this was not! :) |

@alex stiletto Thanks Alex. And I think you have supporters from СтарошведÑьке. Sveriges Television interviewed Maria Norberg, about 80 years old and living in Gammalsvenskbyn, a few weeks ago following the unrest in the Crimea. She says with almost perfect Swedish that she is not afraid and that they will not let the Russians in. |

Ukraine: Crimea's Tatars mark 70th anniversary of Soviet-era deportations Defying a ban by their new Russian-backed rulers, thousands of Crimean Tatars gathered at a mosque on Sunday to commemorate the day 70 years ago that the mass deportation of their families began under the orders of the Soviet leader Josef Stalin. |

Ukraine crisis in space: US takes on the Russians, only this time it's over the International Space Station Even during the paranoia and antagonism of the Cold War, the United States and Russia managed to find common cause in space. In July 1975, both countries celebrated the first joint space flight, as Apollo and Soyuz spacecraft docked in orbit, astronauts and cosmonauts smiling for the cameras as they shook hands through the air lock. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/ukraine-crisis-in-space-us-takes-on-the-russians-only-this-time-its-over-the-international-space-station-9391334.html |
