How little was the BBC's picture?

624 x 351 pixels, hardly little.

I was being sarcastic hence the quote. What is that in mm?

Really depends on the pitch of the pixel - put it on one of those huge displays used in airports and concerts then we are talking many feet across, but put it on some of the modern high definition displays and only a matter of an inch or so....
