Sooo.. I`ve been running seti for over a decade.... And I`m just looking into new tweaks and whatnot, and here I find I have more points im MilkyWay and Einstein and a couple other projects I never even heard of.. I found the option to uncheck get work from other projects.. My question is this though, I`ve never seen a workunit labeled anything but seti roll across my screen other than the one time I tried spinhenge when there were no seti units available.. If seti units are unavailable so frequently *at least according to my points* why have I never seen my pc working on one? I realize MW and other projects are faster to acquire cobblestones in, but thats not my goal.. I`ve thought I`ve been running purely seti units all these years, so what gives? Thx. :) |

Where do you see those work units from other projects? In your account overview, only SETI@home and Spinhenge@home are listed as projects. Gruß Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) SETI@home classic workunits 3,758 SETI@home classic CPU time 66,520 hours |

Sooo.. I`ve been running seti for over a decade.... And I`m just looking into new tweaks and whatnot, and here I find I have more points im MilkyWay and Einstein and a couple other projects I never even heard of.. You can only receive work for project's you've signed up for and have an account with. I found the option to uncheck get work from other projects.. Actually, that option reads "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?". The "other applications" is in reference to the option right above that where you can select between SETI@home Enhanced, SETI@home v7, and AstroPulse (currently). These applications are all under the SETI@home umbrella. This option does not fetch work from other projects. My question is this though, I`ve never seen a workunit labeled anything but seti roll across my screen other than the one time I tried spinhenge when there were no seti units available.. Then it follows that you have not received work from those projects if you don't even have an account with them. If seti units are unavailable so frequently *at least according to my points* why have I never seen my pc working on one? I realize MW and other projects are faster to acquire cobblestones in, but thats not my goal.. I`ve thought I`ve been running purely seti units all these years, so what gives? The obvious question that I have for you at this point would be, why do you believe you have work or credit from other projects? Where are you looking that leads you to believe this? |

The account name is not unique. There can be several thousand people called Eric, that does not mean all those accounts are yours. You can see that by checking the account number: In BOINCStats, only http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/17595/projectList is yours. Click on the image behind the Seti project there for more details. You'll then see that the User ID is 8123968. That's your user ID here at Seti. When you then check, e.g. http://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/3068/projectList, its Seti user ID is 57736, which corresponds to this account, that is called Eric, but is definitely not you. |

On top of what Ageless said, the user account you linked to on BOINCstats only has 702,260 total SETI@home credit. You have almost 14,000,000. Definitely not your account. |
