I have a spare PC (Intel Quad core Q6600 and 2 each SLI'd NVIDIA 8800) and it is running BOINC latest version 7. I want BOINC to be setup to run the SETI@Home all the time on all 4 CPU cores and both NVIDIA Cards. How do I make sure I have that set up correctly? Thanks! |

Actually, it is strongly recommended to leave at least one core free to feed your GPUs. If I'm not mistaken, that is the default setup. |

Actually, it is strongly recommended to leave at least one core free to feed your GPUs. If I'm not mistaken, that is the default setup. You're mistaken. The user will have to set BOINC to use one CPU core less, it isn't automated. To do so, set On multiprocessors, use at most X% of the processors to 99%. Since this value is an integer, setting it to 99% will mean you use 3 cores of a 4 core system (7 of an 8 core). |
