Also useless in practical communications. If the fiber is long enough it will need repeaters. The repeater won't pass the quantum information.

About 45 years ago I was playing rugby for a club that was about 50% British Ex Pats. After a match I was having a beer with an English man on our team. I said to him "Ian is yelling things and I can't understand a word he is saying."
His response was "Don't pay him any attention, he's Welch, no one can understand what he says."

I had a laugh at at that one. A friend of mine moved to London from the states and married Cockney girl. When the wife and I had a visit to England we spent a few days with them. If she talk slow we could mostly understand her, But when she got excited not even her husband could tell us what she was talking about.
