Go to your "Account" web page, select "Computers on this account", then click on the link below the bottom of the list "Merge computers by name" and follow the instructions. Alternatively here's a link that should work: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

The rules are quite rigid - the o/s must be essentially the same, the hardware the same (CPU, M/B, GPU, etc. at the time of creation) Name is of little relevance. And they MUST belong to the same SETI@Home account. Very fussy, as I know - several of my retired crunchers are actually the same PC, but for reasons known only to S@H they were deemed to be sufficiently different not to be the same. On the plus side you will not loose the credit, the "old" PC will still be there on the servers, just slumbering quietly, while the "new" one chugs on happily gaining credits. Did you also try the "Merge duplicate records of this computer" link at the bottom of the Details page of each host? Gruß Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) SETI@home classic workunits 3,758 SETI@home classic CPU time 66,520 hours |
