I recently downloaded SETI@home v7 for the Macintosh and installed it successfully (it said) on my 2006 Mac Pro running OS X 10.6.8. Since then, I hae only seen one task running at a time instead of the usual four. I am also seeing the following notices: SETI@home: Notice from server Your app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of AstroPulse v.6. and SETI@home: Notice from server Your app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of SETI@home v.7. I'm more than a little confused and any suggestions on how to get back to normal would be appreciated. |

I am also seeing the following notices: My guess is you downloaded and installed BOINC 7.0.65, which is different than SETI v7. To get back to full crunching, you will need to remove the app_info.xml file that is in the /Library/Application Support/BOINC Data/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu, then go into the BOINC manager and select Seti@Home and click reset. Also make certain that you have v7 enabled in your preferences. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/prefs.php?subset=project |
